Month End Review- July

Month Summary

Goal: 200/345k hands reached
Hours: 121 hours put in                                         Money: ~7k
Peak of the month was about half way through the month, at which point I encountered a downswing.

Took half a week off, and slowly climbed back up a tad bit.

Started the month on Nicotine Patches as a method of trying to quit smoking.

Worked out 4-5x a week with heavy weights.

Ate "relatively" clean, with the exception of

Wings night out
Gelato 3-4x a week at most.
All you can eat sushi

A 'July Reflection; August Goals post will be posted tomorrow with in-depth' short comings will be discussed more thoroughly.

Time Management. Tilt Management. Table Selection. Self-Control.

  4. tttttthat graph. can't believe how good you run.. so gross being one of the only regs who isn't a sunrunner. do you ever have a losing month? or just rungood by lower and greater amounts some months vs others?

  5. @ Anon

I'm 14k which is 140bi's below ev for the year.
The winrate isn't terribly good anyhow =]

Perhaps I just win flips a ton vs you yes? This month I blame a lot of poor play bad in the middle; otherwise it's more or less of an average month.

a Rungood month would be like my first 100k hands but continuing on for the whole month (:

  6. @ pita~ yeah definitely if I have time.

Going to go to fireworks and out tonight; so probably no time.

I actually record almost everything that I eat + all exercises throughout the day. . Will be a very comprehensive blog though (:

  7. hmm then i have absolutely no idea how you could profit 30 buyins in a month running that far - ev... unless your consistently on the right end of setups, or timing your plays perfectly. (even if you have an edge on the field I don't think that would be enough). :S. would be very interested in seeing your HH's. also im probably just bad and your probly just good at pokerz.

  8. 30bi's in a month over span of 200k hands is nothing miraculous ; tons of guys profit way more haha. ~ but sure I'll post few HH in the future.

How many hands you put in a month? What's your samplesize?

  9. I really don't understand how. 100k~ish down 3bi's this month.. do you really think we are playing hands that differently? or just being put in different situations

  10. Both I will make a post discussing variance and spews. Keep in mind he difference it's the minor differences that can affect your winrate a ton.

Lets say you spewed 1bi in 10k hands; over 200k hands/month usual for me.
    That's 20bi difference!
Try going through your db and just straight up mark down all the hands which you spewed.n
When you play as much volume as I do it's very easy to forget all the big hands I spewed.

    What I'm saying is ;
2guya can play exact same game; but if one guy spews more it actually makes a huge difference in the long run.

  11. I agree, and I try to minimize losses and spew. I have seen you spew/throw away buyins especially pre in (what looks like to me) questionable/uncessessary spots in the hands i've played with you, but your relatively nitty/standard pre/post so I am unsure as to where you get these +30buyins of value from as your running -ev. :S. I play a similar style but I don't think all regs play all hands similarily, but the majority of big hands/setups are going to happen regardless and all players should be on both sides. Maybe I am leaking somewhere or not maybe not getting full value where you are. ALthough most sessions it feels like I wish I could switch situations with other regs. Maybe with more volume I will see better results. Advice? :)

  13. danny do you mind sharing what your winrate bb/100 is for this year? and over how many hands?

  14. For Fullring . . evwr is about 1.5-2.0 I believe. Wr is about 1.0-1.5.

I dropped 6-max due to the fact I was putting so much volume/hours that I fatigue tilted/spewed a ton of money there.

I strongly believe it's much easier to spew at 6-max than FR just due to wider ranges.

    With the same respect I believe a person's 'A-Game' @ 6-max is likely more profitable (bb/100 wise) than a person's 'A-Game' @ full ring.
